Volunteering with PHECTA

PHECTA has a volunteer section that encourages individuals from the local communities who are interested in First Aid to come together and train in a wide range of skills.

Our volunteers can perform various roles from basic through to advanced first aid as well as community care.

 

We help provide training within communities.

 

First Aider Role

Be part of a team that is trained to help try to saves lives.

As a first aider, you will receive the training required to help you deliver the First Aid Skills to deliver care to people in need within your community as well as at public events.

Working alongside our Advanced Paramedic Practitioners,

Registered Paramedics, Registered Nurses, and Ambulance

Technicians, our First Aid volunteers gain a great deal of

knowledge and experience. Many of our volunteers are also

Community First Responders with the NHS Ambulance

Service and are trained to respond to life threatening 999

Emergency Calls. 

 

Health Care Professionals volunteering roles

Nurses, doctors, advanced clinical practitioners paramedics and EMT's play a vital role for us, ensuring our non-health care professional volunteers are trained to the required standard, The health care professionals also undertake vital role's at larger events.

Support roles

We’re also looking for volunteers who can lend a hand behind the scenes, including roles in safeguarding, human resources, quality assurance, fundraising and communications, and health and safety, assisting at welfare centres in times of emergency etc.
