Continual Progressive Development

 

In order to maintain knowledge and skills, it is a requirement that registrants undertake CPD Training annually.  Our CPD training is designed for those who hold the qualifications listed below and who work with patients as clinical practitioners.

Our course is delivered by experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioners and has been designed to ensure  students knowledge and clinical skills are updated and refreshed. We target the CPD Training to those working as clinical operatives in the Close Protection field. Aimed not only at those who hold and maintain registration in the UK on a registered body such as the Health Care Professions Council, Nursing & Midwifery Council or General Medical Council, but we also include non-registrants who are employed in clinical settings due to previous employment as Combat Medical Technicians with the Defence Medical Services.

Our training is aimed at the following:

 

 

• Those on the Health Care Professions Council Register

• Those on the Nursing & Midwifery Council Register

• Those on the General Medical Council Register

• Combat Medical Technicians employed in clinical roles

 

 

If you are employed in a close protection role and are operating in a clinical capacity by your employing company and are not covered by the categories above, please contact us to discuss your eligibility to attend the CPD Training Course.

 

 

For 2020 -2021, we shall be covering the following subjects on our CPD Course:

 

1. Needle Chest Decompression and Chest Injuries.

2. Needle Cricothyroidotomy.

3. Intraosseous Cannulation –

   1. Bone Injection Gun

   2. EZIO

4. Wound Closure –

   1. Steri-Strips

   2. Skin Adhesive

   3. Suturing

   4. Staples

The course is designed to refresh existing skills. If you have not undertaken a wound closure course, and require a wound closure course, which includes Steri-Strips, Skin Adhesive, Suturing and Staples, please look at our Wound Closure Course which covers both theory and skill station sessions.

CPD course duration:

 

 

Course is held over a single day commencing at 0900hrs and ending at 1600hrs.

There is a 15 minute tea break in the morning and afternoon sessions and a 30 minute lunch break.

 

 

Cost

 

 

CPD Course fees are £50 per person and are restricted to sex people per course unless all participants are from the same organisation then numbers can be negotiated.

 

 

We can run this course at our location, or may be able to travel to you if you have a suitable location.
